Santi Quattro Coronati (SSQC) - Archaeobotanical plates
收藏资源简介:
The Santi Quattro Coronati – archaeobotanical plates dataset provides high-resolution photographic documentation of desiccated carpological remains from a deposit dated between the late 15th and mid-16th century in the monastic complex of Santi Quattro Coronati (Rome, Italy). Each identified taxon is represented by its best-preserved specimens, with multiple plant parts included when present. Images were captured using a Leica stereomicroscope with digital camera and processed through focus stacking (Helicon Focus v.7.0.1 Pro), merging between 9 and 127 photographs per specimen. Larger samples were photographed with a Canon camera under controlled illumination. Final plates were cleaned digitally and include a scale bar for reference. The dataset is organized alphabetically by family and taxon. Each plate presents one to three views of a specimen to illustrate morphology. Taxonomic nomenclature has been updated to current standards, and a metadata file accompanies the plates for reference.
