资源简介:

GW Lib is a dwarf nova with only two known outbursts (1983 and 2007). In theXMMNewton observation in quiescence, it was a faint (<10e29 erg/s) andrelatively soft Xray source with a strong oxygen line. During and shortly afterthe 2007 outburst, it was significantly more Xray luminous with no obvioussigns of a strong oxygen line. A decade after the 2007 outburst, GW Lib issecurely back in quiescence, when the disk instability model predicts very a lowaccretion rate. GW Lib is also the prototype of dwarf novae with nonradialpulsations of the white dwarf, and it will be in the field of view of K2campaign 15 (2017 Aug 23Nov 20). We propose a new XMMNewton observation toprobe how and at what rate the white dwarf is accreting, while also studying its pulsation properties. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
