A study aimed at comparing the differences in response to environmental disturbance between bacterial communities from perennial and and seasonal Arctic sea ice. Investigation was conducted via the inversion of ice cores from both ice types and investigating changes to the bacterial communities resulting from it, using high throughput sequencing of the 16s rRNA gene.
