We engineered biosensing of adenosine, melatonin, and serotonin, into mating-competent S. cerevisiae strains and investigated transcriptome profiles at increasing concentrations of cognate ligands. We compared the resulting profiles to wild-type and sensitised (sst2 mutations) yeast strains.
