The housing situation of children in the Federal Republic from the
perspective of parents.

Topics: detailed description of residence; monthly burden or rent
costs and additional costs; having a yard; individual rooms for the
children; assumed satisfaction of the child with the children´s room;
consideration of children´s interests in furnishing the room; new
acquisition of items or use of older item of furniture; tasks and
duties of child in household; detailed information on place of stay of
child in the course of the day and when doing homework, receiving
friends and playing; housing desires and ideas about an optimum
residence concept; preferred design or preferred style for chairs,
tables, desks, bed, closet, shelves and lamps by means of sample
pictures; preferred color for setting up a children´s room; attitude to
individual room for the child; problems in setting up a children´s
room; ideas about a residence suitable for children; sources of
information about furnishings for children´s rooms and about raising
children; vacation with children; social conduct and social
surroundings of the child; relationship to teachers and classmates;
hobbies of the child; friends of the child; possession of pet and

Beyond this after viewing the children´s room the interviewer provided
a detailed description of the room regarding window surface, wall
composition, floors and pieces of furniture.
