The snow alga Chlamydomonas nivalis, which distributes in polar regions and high-altitude mountain tops snow fields, can stive against cold stress and thermal shock. However, the mechanisms underlying this adaptation to temperature fluctuations are unknown.On the basis of C. nivalis physiological features under cyclic temperature fluctuations, we selected 10 points for RNA sequencing.
