層別多段抽出の方法によって全国から約16000世帯を調査世帯として抽出し、調査世帯内に常住する14歳以上の者、約51000人を調査対象として調査している。

A method of hierarchical multi-section sampling has been employed to select approximately 16,000 households nationwide as the survey sample. Within these households, individuals residing permanently who are 14 years of age and older, totaling approximately 51,000 people, are being surveyed.
