By collecting and processing individual embryonic cells from sequentially older embryos we have generated the first comparative single cell transcriptome dataset describing embryogenesis. Overall design: Embryos from approximately the first 450 minutes of embryonic development were collected. Individual embryos were dissociated manually and single cells or small chuncks of cells were collected for processing. Each sample was barcoded, and samples were multiplexed into sequencing libraries.
