Assets under management allocation in Europe in 2022

At the end of 2022, the most popular investment security was bonds, accounting for 34.6 percent of the total assets under management (AUM) in Europe. Equities were in second place with 32.1 percent while cash securities added to a small proportion of the total AUM pool accounting for around seven percent. Cash securities are highly liquid products such as money market funds. Due to their high liquidity, these product types can often be more volatile and are typically used for shorter-term investments.
