Provincial Environment Ordinance 2015 — Border Prohibition Zone Deep Drilling (history)

The deep drilling ban zone is part of the groundwater protection areas aimed at protecting the groundwater extracted from drinking water supply. In areas with clay layers in the subsurface there is natural protection of groundwater abstraction. The prohibition zone aims to prevent the natural protection from being affected.This map layer is part of the version of the Drenthe Provincial Environment Regulation adopted on 23 September.
