Data supporting the PhD thesis: Beyond Sectoral Thinking: International Shipping Fuels in an Energy-Economy System

This dataset contains model code, intermediate modules, and final output files produced during a PhD research project on the decarbonization of international maritime shipping. The research objective was to assess how global shipping emissions, fuel use, trade activity, and costs evolve under alternative climate and policy scenarios. The analysis combines an extended version of the WITCH Integrated Assessment Model with original econometric models of bilateral maritime trade and techno-economic representations of vessels and fuels. Data were generated through numerical optimization and econometric estimation, and include model inputs, developed modules, and scenario-based results stored primarily in GDX format.
