Geometry of the acceleration in the bipolar supernova remnant of SN 1006

We propose a detailed study of the acceleration of particles in the southwestrim of SN 1006 to determine the geometry of the acceleration in this prototypeof the class of radio bipolar supernova remnants. To reach our goal, we need tocharacterize the following quantities in both synchrotron rims all along theshock at the scale of the width of the synchrotron filaments: cutoff frequencyof the synchrotron spectrum and downstream magnetic field, together withestimates of the level of spectral and hydrodynamical backreaction. Ourprevious LP on SN 1006 provides these quantities for the northeast rim, but notfor the southwest rim which hence has insufficient statistics.
