Two new coordination polymers (CPs), namely [Cu(4-bptzp)(1,3-BDC)]<sub>n</sub> (<b>1</b>, 1,3-H<sub>2</sub>BDC = 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid, 4-bptzp = 1,4-bis(5-(4-pyridyl)tetrazolyl)propane) and [Co(4-bptzh)(1,3-BDC)]<sub>n</sub> (<b>2</b>, 4-bptzh = 1,4-bis(5-(4-pyridyl)tetrazolyl)hexane) were prepared by hydrothermal reactions of the corresponding metal salts with the 1,3-H<sub>2</sub>BDC in the presence of different flexible bis(pyridyl-tetrazole) ligands. The inhibitory effect of compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> on SK-OV-3 human ovarian cancer cells was assessed. Firstly, the CCK-8 assay was performed and the anti-proliferation activity of compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> was assessed. Then, the Annexin V-FITC/PI apoptosis assay was performed to detect the apoptosis of the cancer cells in flow cytometry.
