Public-use dataset for "The security premium in research careers: Evidence from a large-scale survey of Japanese researchers"

This record contains the de-identified public-use dataset associated with the manuscript “The security premium in research careers: Evidence from a large-scale survey of Japanese researchers.” The dataset is based on an anonymous online survey of 4,381 researchers, primarily based in Japan. The public-use dataset excludes timestamps, consent-confirmation fields, free-text responses, internal management columns, and variables not used in the analysis. Directly or potentially identifying information was removed or translated/recoded before public release. The raw individual-level survey responses are not publicly available because of the risk of respondent re-identification through free-text responses and combinations of background characteristics.
