Bacterial communities in iron-rich alpine wetlands

Understanding the ecological mechanisms underlying microbial community assembly in extreme environments is central to microbial ecology. However, the response patterns of bacterial communities in specific extreme habitats, such as iron-rich alpine wetlands, remain poorly characterized. This study collected sediment samples from four iron-rich wetlands located on the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
