Lean project delivery signals: contractor market specialization and project outcomes (data, collection and analysis code)

Data and Python code of a study of lean-related organizational signals of U.S. contractors: Lean Construction Institute membership, reconstructed from archived snapshots of the institute's member directory, and lean language on corporate websites, read from Common Crawl and Internet Archive captures, compared with the contractors' positions in the Engineering News-Record Top 400 rankings of 2001 to 2026 and with their federal awards of fiscal years 2008 to 2025 (USAspending, linked to SAM.gov contract notices). The record holds the complete code for collection, processing and analysis; the LCI directory snapshots; the address, capture time and coded lean terms of every archived page read; the ENR ranks; the contractor classifications; the federal award analysis table; and the tables behind every table and figure of the article. The public federal records (USAspending award archives, SAM.gov contract notices and entity records) are not duplicated: the fetch scripts download them from their official sources, whose addresses DATA_SOURCES.md lists. ENR revenue values of single firms and the texts of archived web pages are not redistributed; the page addresses allow the texts to be retrieved from the public archives. DATA_SOURCES.md describes every file and the order in which the scripts run.
