Files: PM25_Daily_Fusion_ContiguousUS_CensusTract_2017-18.RDS PM25_Hourly_Fusion_ContiguousUS_CensusTract_[MONTH][YEAR].RDS Variables: GEOID – GEOID of the census tract the PM2.5 estimate is for Date/Timestamp – Date/Timestamp the PM2.5 estimate is for PM25 – Daily/hourly average PM2.5 estimate (μg/m3) Lon – Longitude of the census tract population center Lat – Latitude of the census tract population center State – State the census tract is in County – County the census tract is in STATEFP – State FIPS code COUNTYFP – County FIPS code TRACTCE – Census tract code Day – Day of the year the PM2.5 estimate is for (range: 1 to 365) Hour – Hour of the day the PM2.5 estimate is for (range: 0 to 23) Notes: Estimates of daily and hourly average PM2.5 concentrations at census tract population centers across the contiguous US for 01/01/2017 to 12/31/2018 72,539 census tracts with 730 daily and 17,520 hourly estimates each Estimated through a Bayesian Maximum Entropy (BME) data fusion of daily average observations from FRM/FEM (https://aqs.epa.gov/aqsweb/airdata/download_files.html) and PurpleAir (https://api.purpleair.com/) monitoring stations Coordinates of the mean centers of population for each census tract downloaded from: https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/centers-population.html Information on the implementation of the BME framework used to generate this dataset can be found in: BMEImplementationOverview.docx Additional details on the estimates can be found in the manuscript: Short-Term Exposure to Wildfire Smoke and PM2.5 and Cognitive Performance in a Brain-Training Game: A Longitudinal Study of US Adults
