Antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in environments

Antimicrobial resistance is a global concern requesting for one health approach. The global action plan on antimicrobial resistance published by the World Health Organization states that multisector between humans, animals and environments including wild animals should be corroborated globally to control the emergence and prevalence of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria. As wild animals are a sentinel of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in environments, we are collecting genomic information of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria, mainly Enterobacteriaceae, from wild animals in Japan.
