IK 25 A – Engineering Geological Map 1:25.000 (analog)

In the main map, the map summarises near-surface looser and solid rocks according to composition and thickness into engineering geological units with the same or similar geotechnical properties. On side maps, the rocks under the quaternary base and the thickness of the quaternary layers, the groundwater equals, the groundwater level, the groundwater gradients as well as the holes taken into account in the map are shown. Cuts (25 times exaggerated) in conjunction with the map representations convey a three-dimensional image of the layer structure. Rock physical characteristics and grain size distributions provide information about the geotechnical properties of soil species. The short explanations also contain a geological and hydrogeological overview, descriptions of the geotechnical and soil-mechanical properties of the layers, as well as applications for planning questions and references to technical regulations (standards).
