资源简介:
This data set, in the form of IDL .save files, consists of longitudinal wave-0,-1,-2, and -3 components of CO2, Ar, CO, N2 and O number densities in Mars thermosphere measured by the NGIMS instrument on the MAVEN satellite during February 2015-February 2022. Details of the data set are provided in the README file. Also included are 10.7-cm solar flux values scaled from Earth to Mars (MF10.7) by considering the Sun-Mars distance and the time shift due to the Earth-Sun-Mars angle. A limited subset of the wave-1,-2, and -3 data were analyzed in Fang et al. (2021) in terms of vertical coupling and interpretations in terms of solar asynchronous tides. Fang et al. (2022) quantified the origins of long-term variability of Mars thermosphere composition using the wave-0 component, and Forbes et al. (2023) derived solar-synchronous tides from the wave-0 component. Forbes et al. (2024) analyzed the full wave-1, -2, and -3 data set in terms of dependencies on species mass, solar flux, and local time. The data provided here are the data before any filtering in terms of quality of fits, outlier rejection, limits on MF10.7, dust storms, etc., imposed in any of the above works.
