Dual RNAseq of rhizobia nodules and nematode galls in Medicago truncatula

Strains of microbial symbionts vary in their effects on host plants, but little is known about how that genetic variation could influence host interactions with other microbes simultaneously colonizing the host. We inoculated Medicago truncatula with one of two nitrogen fixing rhizobia strains and with or without root knot nematodes. We performed bulk dual RNAseq and bulk RNAseq and assessed gene expression changes in rhizobia nodules, nematode galls, and roots.
