Battery module architecture

The Part 1 presents the design and prototyping of a battery module tailored for aeronautical applications, building on the requirements and use case defined in Deliverable D7.1. The module architecture has been engineered to satisfy the mechanical, thermal, electrical, safety, and integration constraints associated with the electrification of anti-icing systems in hybrid-electric and more-electric aircraft. The proposed solution targets installation of battery modules within the fuselage of an airplane. Part 2 addresses the topics of procurement, real-life assembly, manufacturing, mount-ability and the criticalities encountered in the manufacturing of the aeronautical module prototypes.
