Physalis peruviana samples from southwestern Antioquia

Samples were collected in southwestern Antioquia (Colombia).RNAseq data from bulked leaf samples, and seed-sprouts of P. peruviana (cape gooseberry). RNA from leaf samples was extracted using the Trizol method from 100 mg of leaf tissue (Chomczynski and Sacchi, 1987). Extraction from seed sprouts was performed using the GeneJET Plant RNA Purification kit (Thermo Fisher Scientific, USA). cDNA libraries were prepared with the TruSeq Stranded Total RNA LT Sample Prep kit; ribosomal RNA (rRNA) was removed with the Ribo-Zero Plant kit (Illumina, USA). Sequencing was performed with the Illumina NovaSeq system
