Two tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) thaumatin-like protein genes confer enhanced resistance to late blight (Phytophthora infestans)

Tomato is one of the most important vegetables worldwide. Late blight (Phytophthora infestans) poses a serious harm to tomato production. However, there are still limited late blight resistance genes isolated from tomato. Moreover, P. infestans can evolve multiple physiological races. Therefore, late blight resistance breeding and genes mining are always research hotspots.
