Financial management reference architecture

This reference architecture is intended to be used as a guide to the development of municipal financial administration and information systems. Its objective is to harmonise financial management processes and concepts and interoperability of implementation solutions, increase efficiency and facilitate the development of reporting and statistics. The reference architecture describes how the generalised business processes, stakeholders, roles, master data and information system services of financial administration function as a whole. The reference architecture is a supplier-neutral and product-independent general description of the target state of financial administration. The development of financial administration, data management and information systems must be implemented within the framework provided by the reference architecture.
