Ca2+-sensitivity of contractile apparatus in in vitro fibers.

Hill curves fit to force-pCa data for each individual fiber for in vitro data in Figures 2 & 3; values are means (± SE) of pCa50 and Hill coefficient h averaged across all fibers (n) from muscles given indicated treatment. Data set comparing CC with STIM and STIM+DTT fibers (2 rats) are a subset of fibers shown in left-hand columns comparing CC with STIM (7 rats), whereas data set comparing STIM with STIM+REC fibers are from a separate set of experiments (2 rats). No significant differences were found.
