资源简介:
We report here transcriptome wide changes in S. cerevisiae in response to sodium azide treatment. The observed changes are consistent with those observed in response to oxidative stress such as H2O2. We also identify transcripts that are specifically affected by Scd6 and/or Sbp1. Some of these mRNAs could be direct targets of Scd6/Sbp1. With an aim to identify transcriptome wide changes in wild type, Δscd6 and Δsbp1 cell of S. cerevisiae in response to sodium azide stress, RNA seq experiments were carried out for normally growing cells and sodium azide treated cells. Two replicates were used for each sample. Validation of RNA seq results using Real time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) indicated that the results obtained by RNA sequencing were reproducible and the extent of changes were comparable.
