Expression profiling was performed for endoderm differentiation in alpha-fetoprotein expressing cells differentiated from embryonic stem cells (ESCs) at 3 different stages of differentiation. Cells were sorted for alpha-fetoprotein expression at days 4, 7 and 21 of embryoid body differentiation and then subjected to Affymetrix DNA microarray analysis. Overall design: Nine samples were analyzed; experimental groups were 3 replicates each (n=3) of Afp(+) cells collected at days 4, 7 and 21 of embryoid body differentiation.
