<p>This dataset contains the spatial data for the legally binding or currently in preparation Social Conservation Areas.</p>
<p>Social conservation statutes have the aim of protecting the resident population of the statutory area from displacement processes. The Building Code gives cities the opportunity to issue social conservation statutes for certain areas in order to maintain the composition of the resident population (Section 172(1), first sentence, point 2 of the Building Code).
<p>In construction projects, the impact on the structure of the housing stock, for example, the size of the apartments, the number of rooms, the equipment of the existing living space and the resulting rent level are decisive. </p>
