An Assessment of The Impact Of Informal Apprenticeship Training (IAT) For Out of school Youths In Kano State, Nigeria

This dataset supports the study “An Assessment of the Impact of Informal Apprenticeship Training for Out-of-School Youths in Kano State, Nigeria.” It contains anonymized survey spreadsheets for master-craft persons (MCPs) and apprentices (APP) disaggregated by Kano metropolitan LGAs, plus audio recordings and verbatim transcripts of 10 key-informant interviews. Included are codebooks, questionnaire instruments, and basic metadata (dates, locations, respondent categories). Sensitive identifiers were removed to protect privacy. The mixed-method files enable quantitative analysis of training outcomes and qualitative thematic exploration of constraints and innovations in informal apprenticeship systems.
