The purpose of the study is to understand the role of Bmal1 in spinal cord contusion. Bmal1 is also referred to as Arntl, and this RNA-seq analysis was undertaken to investigate the difference in the transcriptome between Arntl knockout and wild type mice 3 days after spinal cord contusion at the T9 level. Total RNA was purified from the epicenter of the injury of the spinal cord. Differential expression analysis was performed to compare the transcriptome of Arntl knockout mice vs. wild type mice.
