This layer group describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2022_V07 titled "HALO - Halimeda bioherm Origins, function and fate in the northern Great Barrier Reef." The voyage took place between August 15 and September 7, 2022 departing from Brisbane (QLD) and returning to Cairns (QLD).\n\nThe purpose of the voyage was to conduct detailed survey operations at three sites (Ribbon Reef, Cormorant Reef and Tijou Reef) with Halimeda bioherms on the northern Great Barrier Reef (GBR) shelf and the directly adjacent, deeper offshore areas. The shelf work aimed to conduct dense grids of geophysical lines at the three bioherm sites, representing the variety of morphological sub-types, and spread between the Ribbon Reef and Tijou Reef study areas. The transits between the shelf sites were also important to investigate additional Halimeda bioherm areas, paleo-channels, inter-reef passages and the connections to the upper-slope and canyons wherever possible. A comprehensive survey and sampling were also conducted to explore the paleo-channel at Princess Charlotte Bay/Lowry Passage. The deep offshore work was conducted at the end of the voyage at offshore Princess Charlotte Bay and the Ribbon Reef.\n\nThis dataset is published with the permission of CSIRO. Not to be used for navigational purposes.\n\nThe dataset contains bathymetry grids of 10m to 210m resolution of the northern Great Barrier Reef produced from the processed EM122 and EM710 bathymetry data.\nLineage: Multibeam data was logged from the EM’s in Kongsberg’s proprietary *.all format and was converted to be processed within CARIS HIPS and SIPS version 11.4.14.\n\nThe data was then gridded at multiple resolutions in python Caris batch script using a Depth filter Vs Resolution guideline derived from AusSeabed Multibeam guidelines v2 and further inspected for outliers. Final raster products are available in L3 folder of this collection. Final processed data were also exported per line as GSF and ASCII format and available in the L2 folder of this collection.
