Transcriptome of Pinctada maxima

The silver-lipped pearl oyster (Pinctada maxima) is a marine bivalve of significant economic importance in the pearl production industry. Gender differences play a crucial role in its reproductive process and pearl formation. However, the genetic mechanisms underlying sex differentiation in the silver-lipped pearl oyster are not yet well understood. This study aims to elucidate the genetic basis of sex differentiation in Pinctada maxima through comprehensive transcriptome Pinctada maxima.
