Daily soil moisture mapping at 1 km resolution based on SMAP data for desertification areas in Northern China

Desertification areas in North China, which are very sensitive to SM, were selected as the study area. The downscaled soil moisture with a spatial resolution of 1 km on a daily scale from 2015 to 2020 was produced based on 36km SMAP soil moisture data. The scale factor is 0.0001. The invalid values are represented with 65535. The name of each image is its corresponding date (Julian day format, 'YYYYDDD').
