Global Human Settlement Layer, Built-up Areas and Buit-up Volume

The Global Human Settlement Layer (GHSL) data gives info on built-up surface area, build-up height, built-up volume. The built-up surface grid, expressed as number of square metres, derived from Sentinel2 composite and Landsat, multitemporal (1975-2030). The built-up volume grid, expressed as number of cubic metres, derived from the built-up surface and the built-up height (1975-2030). Both data report total built-up area/volume and the built-up area/volume allocated to dominant non-residential (NRES) uses.
