Share of Indians aware of the Right to Information Act - by state in 2008 and 2018

This statistic shows the result from a survey conducted in 2018 among urban and rural households across 13 states in India about the awareness among Indians of the Right to Information Act (RTI) in 2008 and 2018, based on state. In Karnataka, around 71 percent of respondents knew about the RTI Act, a significant increase from around 15 percent of respondents in the state in 2008.
