Psathyrella euryspora, a new fungal species, was isolated. The fungus that grew on deciduous deadwood was identified based on macroscopic and microscopic examination of fruiting bodies as well as on phylogenetic analysis of rRNA genes including spacer regions. In addition, the strain was sequenced and its full genome sequence providing relevant data for further phylogenetic and biotechnological analyses.
