Rehabilitation of Low-Income Farmers: A List of References

Preface: This is a list of references to publications available in the U. S. Department of Agriculture Library on the rehabilitation of the low-income farm operator, excluding farm tenants and laborers. References to rural relief literature, dealing with relief on a national, regional, or State level, are included as background material. Rehabilitation as here used signifies rehabilitation in place, and does not include relocation and resettlement. It refers chiefly to the programs of financial and personal aid and supervised farm and home management, developed by the Federal Emergency Relief Administration, the Resettlement Administration, and the Farm Security Administration, during the period 1934 to 1942.
