Metagenomic insights into the structure and function of intestinal microbiota of the hadal amphipods

This study explored the total bacteria community and functional diversity associated with the guts of three different hadal amphipods by using the Illumina MiSeq platform. Furthermore, it aimed to provide strong supporting evidences for investigating the potentially physiological and molecular mechanisms of guts bacteria, which might contribute to the adaptation of hadal amphipods to the deep-sea environments.
