Analysis of Food Extracts with Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) - A STEM Outreach Activity (DRAFT: CC1B751E)

4 Groups of Extracts were prepared and the NMR spectra were obtained. A new coumarin natural product from lime peels was isolated and characterized.

2 – Leaves/Blueberries {Spinach (2-1A) Leaves (2-2A) Blueberries (2-3A)}
3 – Vegetables {Red Cabbage (3-1A) Tomato (3-2A) Carrot (3-3A)}
4 – Citrus Peels {Lemon (4-1A) Lime (4-2A) Orange (4-3A)}
