资源简介:
Photograph of a painting of Father Garces, the Franciscan who named the Colorado River, [s.d.]. Garces is pictured coming through tall weeds, dressed in his monk's habit, along with a cap. He is shown from head to toe, although the weeds obscure his feet. He appears to be no older than middle-age. He lived among the Indians along the Colorado River. He was beaten to death by the Yuma Indians on July 17, 1781. His statue is in Yuma.
