The Sub-regional Plan “Regional Spatial Structure and Basic Functional Priorities” meets textual and graphic definitions of spatial structure and basic functional priorities. Basic functional areas are the most functional areas of suitable municipalities. Only one basic functional focus may be defined per municipality. According to the legal validity of the Sub-regional Plan, these districts receive the extended possibilities in the areas of housing development and the development of large-scale retail, as provided for in the Land Development Plan Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg (LEP HR). The Regional Assembly of the Oderland-Spree Regional Planning Community decided at the 4th session of the 7th meeting of the Regional Planning Community of Oderland-Spree. Term of office on 21.06.2021 the substantive sub-regional plan “Regional spatial structure and basic functional priorities” as statutes. With its publication in the Official Gazette for Brandenburg No. 42/2021 of 27.10.2021, the Sub-regional Plan “Regional Spatial Structure and Basic Functional Priorities” Oderland-Spree entered into force.
