Land consolidation areas in Thuringia

Thuringia is divided into three land consolidation areas: Gera, Gotha and Meiningen. They are each responsible for several districts. Land consolidation combines appropriate reorganisation of rural property with investments in rural infrastructure. By combining these two components, land consolidation serves like no other instrument to the claim of the holistic approach to development for rural areas.
