Images and GIS Data from a Watching Brief at Winton School, Andover, Hampshire, August to September 2022

This collection consists of images and GIS data from a watching brief, by Cotswold Archaeology, at Winton School, Andover, Hampshire, from August to September 2022. Because of the relatively poor archaeological potential, no previously commissioned archaeological investigations had been undertaken on the site. No archaeological features or deposits were recorded in Area 1. Area 2 had modern truncations associated with previous building activity to the immediate northeast. A small pit and a posthole were observed in the southeast corner of Area 2, which may represent outlier features associated with later prehistoric settlement activity, lying to the immediate south of the site.
