Survey on electronic resources of higher education and research institutions

This dataset presents the results of the ERE survey of higher education and research institutions. This survey is conducted for the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) by the Couperin Consortium (https://www.couperin.org/) among French higher education institutions whether or not they are members of this consortium.

This survey identifies the resources (in EUR) devoted by the higher education and research documentation system to the acquisition of electronic documentary resources. This census is subject to different biases: declarative biases (non-response from some institutions, lack of a comprehensive view of purchased resources, input errors), biases related to cross-crossing adjustments made by Couperin with negotiators’ information, and biases related to the procurement process.

It is estimated that the expenditure census produced by the e-Resources Survey covers more than 90 % of the expenditures on electronic resources.

Data from 11 institutions are grouped within the same group “Other institutions” (University of Corsica Pasquale Paoli, Agrosup Dijon, Université Paris-Sud (Paris 11), Institut national des sciences écologique de Lyon (INSA de Lyon), Université Panthéon-Assas, Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, École nationale supérieure des sciences agronomiques de Bordeaux Aquitaine (Bordeaux Sciences Agro), American university of Paris, Institut Pasteur, Office national d’études et de recherche spatials (ONERA), Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
