Sequencing of Red drum microbiota. ECOSYSP_OMB

This study aims to know the evolution of the microbiota of Red drum (Sciaenops ocellatus) filets using the Illumina MiSeq platform to sequencing the 16S rRNA gene V3-V4 hypervariable region. Two storage conditions were analyzed: vacuum packaging (code sample = VP); modified atmosphere (50% CO2, 50% N2) (code sample = MAP). VP and MAP samples were stored at 4°C. Samples were analyzed before the packaging (fresh tuna) (code sample = D0) and after eight, fifteen, twenty-two and twenty-nine days of storage (code sample = D8, D15, D22, D29). Sequencing data were analyzed using the Qiime 1.9.1 pipeline. Forward and reverse reads were joined using fastq-join and quality filtered using default Qiime parameters.
