Habitats in the McMurdo Dry Valleys that are susceptible to landscape change

The McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica are currently experiencing landscape scale change associated with warming and increases in incoming solar radiation. In this project we conducted surveys to describe the biological communities associated with habitats that are likely to undergo change and experiments to determine how these communities will respond to altered conditions. Three specific habitats were explored; water tracks, lake margins, and the soil active layer.
