In this study, we used hybrid dysgenesis - a sterility syndrome of Drosophila caused by transposition of invading P-element DNA transposons - to uncover host genetic variants that modulate the impacts of an invading TE. The Drosophila Synthetic Population Resource (DSPR) were utilised to map linked quantitative trait loci linked to the severity of dysgenic sterility in females.The following contains MSG data from when all the DSPR Recombinant Inbred Lines where resequenced in 2016, which was used to determine whether there were an excess of new mutations in RILs, SNP and indel, based on their background at QTL-3d
