Sample metadata for study "Indigenous inoculant dampens the impact of remediation of heavy metal polluted soil on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal communities".
Columns are as follows:
#OTU ID - name used in corresponding fastq sequence files
sample_code - name used in corresponding OTU table
sample_name - original sample name
location - Where the soil originated from e.g. Slovenia (calcareous soil), Austria (acidic soil), or CONT (control soil)
treatment - Whether the soil was inoculant soil (inoc), remediated (rem), or left polluted (orig)
added_plant - whether plants were added to the mesocosm (all yes in this study)
added_inoculum - whether inoculant soil was added to the mesocosm
replicate - which mesocosm the sample was taken from.
month - sampling month
year - sampling year
date - full sampling date
