This volume, entitled was presented by the great grandchildren of John Bowman Esq to Richmond Superior Public School in November, 1905. The volume contains a silver gelatin photograph of a white satin banner, referred to as "An Australian Centenarian" which was "flown by John Bowman, Esquire., on his farm, Archerfield, at Richmond, New South Wales, when the news arrived in New South Wales of the victory at Trafalgar, 21st Oct. 1805". The supporters of the banner's shield (emu and kangaroo) were later incorporated in the Australian coat of arms. Included in the volume are silver gelatin photographs of promissory notes, business letterhead logos and coins and tokens (showing both obverse and reverse) utilizing emu and kangaroo designs as supporters.
